Want to check your blood pressure? There’s an app for that

iHealth has released an app as well as an attachment that can be used to measure and record your blood pressure. The kit includes a cuff, a battery powered dock (which doubles as a charging station) and the app. The kit costs $100 and can be bought on the iHealth website for now. Eventually the kit will be available on the Apple online and retail stores.

Amazon’s Kindle books overtake paperbacks

On Thursday, Amazon announced that since Jan 1. customers have been buying 115 kindle books to every 100 paperback books. Last July, Amazon had announced that Kindle books were outselling Hardcover books and now paperbacks have fallen back too.

Fight Twitter Spam with Proxlet

Sony announces the new PSP – The NGP

Sony has announced its next generation portable entertainment system, codenamed NGP. NGP will make its debut at the end of the year 2011.

Some of its features include:

  • Stunning OLED and Revolutionary User Interface – The NGP will offer a multi-touch 5-inch organic light emitting display (OLED) as the front display.
  • Super Oval Design and Dual Analog Sticks.
  • LiveArea- Every game title for NGP will be provided with a space called “LiveArea™” where users can share the fun and excitement with other players.
  • Near – location-based services on NGP as part of the basic features utilizing PlayStation Network.
  • New Game Medium – a small flash memory based card, dedicated for NGP software titles.
  • 2 cameras – NGP will also come equipped with two cameras on its front and rear, as well as three motion sensors, gyroscope, accelerometer and a electronic compass.

RIM’s Playbook to run Android Apps?

Crazy rumor floating around today that RIM is seriously considering Playbook users to install and run Android Apps.

From Boy Genius Report:

“Here is the big news: we have been told RIM is very much considering the Dalvik virtual machine, and we ultimately expect the company to chose Dalvik. If that sounds familiar to you, it’s because it’s the same VM that the Android OS uses, and it would allow RIM’s PlayBook and other QNX devices to run just about any application built for the Android platform.”
